Compliant interdisciplinary group (IDG) meetings are about more than just reporting the patient's status. They are the forum to create care for the hospice patient that is truly interdisciplinary. IDG meetings are intended to continually address a patient's goals, conduct anticipatory planning, and update the plan of care. If the patient were at the table, would they feel like your meeting accomplished this for them? The goal of this course is to provide administrators, nurses, social workers, and chaplains in hospice with knowledge of interdisciplinary group and care planning best practices.
